Fall is the festival season on Cape Cod and vacationers would have a hard time finding a better place to spend their time than at all of the wonderful festivals going on across the Cape. In fact, they are the most popular Cape Cod attractions all year!

When the weather starts to cool and swimming at the Cape’s beautiful beaches is no longer an option, the region comes to life with spectacular festivals that offer a little something for everyone - from music to cranberries.

  1. Wellfleet Oyster Fest - Oct. 17-18 - A celebration of Wellfleet’s oysters and shell-fishing tradition. Featuring great local cuisine, beautiful arts and crafts, a 5k road race, an oyster shuck off, and a moon bounce for the kids.
  2. Cape Land and Sea Harvest - Sept. 25-27 - A free range festival with events taking place throughout the Cape. Venues Cape wide from restaurants to wineries, farms and piers offer tasting and hands on events focusing on locally grown and raised products. It all culminates with a farmer’s market in Hyannis and a ‘farm to table’ event in Barnstable on the 27th.
  3. Harwich Cranberry Festival - Sept. 12-13 - Crafts, games, face painting, sand sculpture contest, live music, and a beach bonfire lead up to the next day’s parade.
  4. Provincetown Music Festival - Sept. 19 - A celebration of music. Folk, Country, Rock, Jazz, you name it. Features musicians and their music in an evening long concert at the Pilgrim House in Provincetown.
  5. Yarmouth Seaside Festival - Oct. 10-12 - A festival honoring service heroes past and present. Includes live music, food, games, rides, contests, a road race, fireworks, a giant craft fair and much, much more.
  6. Truro Treasures Weekend - Sept. 15-17 - Join Truro for a weekend of fun to build community spirit. A 5K run, golf tournament, car show, flea market and a silent auction are only some of the available activities.
  7. Bourne Scallop Fest - Sept. 25-27 - A compilation of crafts, a home show, entertainment, rides, games, a food court including beer, wine, hot dogs, lobster rolls, chowder, burgers, and of course, the honoree of the festival, the famous Scallop and Herb Roasted Chicken Dinner.
